Its probably kind of sad that I can manage to find a life lesson from the TV show The Bachelorette - but I did! Last week's show had Jillian taking 4 guys to Spain to get to know them better. The first 3 dates were basically a make-out session with scenic shots of Spanish cities in the background. Now honestly, that is way too much PDA for my taste, but still I was drawn in by this obvious mutual attraction she had with these three guys. So then she gets to her last date with Wes (the guy everyone, but Jillian, can figure out has alterior motives.
While watching her date with Wes, I basically saw my 4 days in Italy play out in front of me (except for the part where he tells her he has a girlfriend at home - thank god!). There were some good moments - looked like they were having fun. But then while having a picnic she commented on why he was sitting so far away, not touching her, not really engaged in conversation...
so Jillian figured out that this guy was not worth her time - its just taking me a little longer. I'm not asking for huge make-out sessions in the middle of a water fountain, but dude hold my hand or make some sort of physical contact when we're hanging out at some pretty romantic places. Now I just need to find myself an Ed or Reid!
