2007 Reindeer Run

A couple weeks ago Sherri and I ran (ok, it was more a trot) the Lifetime Reindeer Run. It happened to be the coldest morning and thefirst big snowfall of the year. We had intended to walk because Sherri had back surgery at the end of the summer and my hip has been bothering me. So I was dressed for the cold, anticipating a walking pace. Two pairs of long underwear and windpants ended up being a little bit of an overkill!!! The run started pretty rough. There was a strong wind whipping ice pellets across Lake Harriet into the side of our face... Once we got to the south side it was much better.

Despite the cold, it was a fun morning. I was amazed at all the people that dressed up and made it out for a little fun run.... I'll probably end up being one of those people again next year!
