I managed to escape the blah March weather for a long weekend in Arizona at my mom's place. The first couple days the weather was perfect - low 80s... then a cool front came in and it was in the upper 40s to 50.... and rainy. Why is it rainy in the desert??
Anyways it was usually nice in the morning and I could go on my run. Typically I hate running, but for some reason I always like it when I'm on vacation... until Sunday morning.
As I was making my way to the main road (about two blocks from the house) when I saw this large German Shepard type dog jogging on the street in front of me... my first thought was "ahhh doggy"! Then I remembered the previous night being awoken to the cries / howls of a pack of coyotes. They were across the street on the golf course. I'm not sure what they were doing, but I'm pretty sure something's life ended... So I immediately slowed my pace down and hoped he didn't see me. I felt little bit like Little Red Riding hood (even though it wasn't a wolf!). In any case it went across the road and into the brush.... I was safe!
Next big adventure is Mexico for Sara's wedding!!!!
